Five Mizzou baseball players put names into transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Following the end of their 2024 season, several Mizzou baseball players have officially entered the transfer portal. A team spokesperson confirmed to ABC 17 Sports on Thursday that starting pitcher Logan Lunceford, outfielder Jackson Beaman, catcher Tucker Moore, outfielder Juju Stevens and infielder Jack Holubowski are all listed in the transfer portal.

Lunceford started a team-high 13 games on the mound for Mizzou during his sophomore season. The right-handed pitcher tossed 60.2 total innings and posted a 6.97 ERA with 53 strikeouts. His strikeout total was third-best on the team last season.

Beaman appeared in 34 games and made 25 starts with the Tigers during the 2024 campaign. The sophomore recorded a .247 batting average and hit six home runs, which was third-most on the roster. He also added 19 RBIs.

Moore made 30 appearances and was in the starting lineup 24 times during his redshirt freshman season, batting .220 with two home runs and five RBIs.

Stevens and Holubowski only appeared in a combined 16 games for the Tigers this past season. Stevens posted a .259 batting average over 27 at-bats and Holubowski batted .091 in his 11 at-bats.

Mizzou Baseball missed out on an SEC Tournament berth during the 2024 campaign, finishing in 13th place in the conference standings. The Tigers ended the season with a 23-32 overall record and a 9-21 tally in SEC action.
