Mizzou rallies in ninth inning, completes sweep of No. 6 Florida
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
For the second time in three games, Mizzou Baseball defeated the nation's No. 6 ranked team in walk-off fashion. Jeric Curtis delivered an RBI single in the final inning to clinch an 11-10 win for the Tigers and a three-game series sweep over Florida.
Sunday's game marked Mizzou's third consecutive upset victory and the first SEC series sweep of the Kerrick Jackson era. It's also the program's first-ever series sweep against Florida.

For most of Sunday's action, Mizzou held the advantage over Florida. The Tigers started the game by outscoring the Gators 7-1 in the first two frames, highlighted by a two-RBI double from Jedier Hernandez, RBI singles from Matt Garcia and Jackson Lovich and a two-RBI single from Kaden Peer.
However, Mizzou's offense was mostly quiet for the next six frames, scoring just one run while Florida rallied to record nine runs on three home runs during that time to take the lead.
The Tigers carried a two-run deficit into the 9th inning, but Mizzou scored a run on a wild pitch and an RBI double from Brock Daniels to tie the game 10-10. Then, Curtis erased an 0-for-5 afternoon at the dish by driving a walk-off single into center field to seal the win.

Peer and Daniels both posted three-hit performances, and nine different players ended the game with at least one hit for Mizzou. Six different Tigers also recorded one RBI or more, led by Peer with three total RBI's.
Bryce Mayer, Ian Lohse and Jacob Peaden collectively allowed 10 earned runs on the mound for Mizzou but did post 14 strikeouts as a pitching staff. Mayer's seven strikeouts was just one short of tying his career-high.
Up next - Mizzou closes out its six-game homestand on Tuesday against SIUE, searching for the team's sixth consecutive win. That contest is scheduled to start on April 9 at 6 p.m.
