Mizzou completes sweep of UT Martin behind a 15-run outburst at plate
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou Baseball scored at least four runs in three different innings on Wednesday afternoon at Taylor Stadium, lifting the Tigers to a series sweep over UT Martin. Kerrick Jackson's crew earned a 15-9 win over the Skyhawks ahead of a three-game SEC series against No. 6 Florida.
A pair of Tigers recorded three-hit, four-RBI performances at the dish. Matt Garcia scored four runs on a triple and a pair of singles while Brock Daniels blasted a three-run home run and posted an RBI single. Kaden Peer also hit a home run in this contest.
Mizzou posted 15 runs on 13 hits in this game, scoring four runs in the first and sixth innings and five runs in the fifth frame. Seven different players recorded an RBI for Mizzou, and five Tigers ended the game with multi-hit performances.
Up next - The Tigers will battle the Gators at home on April 5 to kick off a three-game SEC series. Friday's game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
