RECAP: Mizzou football finishes regular-season 8-4, hunts for ninth win in bowl game

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Although the 2025 Mizzou football season didn't live up the expectations that the team had at the start of the season, head coach Eli Drinkwitz and company still have an opportunity to make some history in Saturday's TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.

No Tiger team has ever won three-straight nine-win seasons, but this one has the chance to be the first with a win over No. 19 Virginia at EverBank Stadium.

The win would put Mizzou at 9-4 on the season...a season which saw its fair share of adversity.

"We finished 8-4. We lost to four Top-10 teams. I think it's a good season, you know, it's not great. We had a chance to go to great, we didn't get it done. As a a team, we've got to find those inches," Drinkwitz said.
