Mizzou Tigers’ 2025 football season tickets sell out despite price hike

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Season tickets for the Mizzou Tigers' 2025 football season sold out faster than last year despite a 50% increase in prices.

The Mizzou Athletic Department announced on Aug. 5 that season tickets were sold out, despite raising prices by half.

Assistant athletic director Joshua Moore said tickets sold out two weeks earlier than last year, marking the second straight season that full-year tickets sold out.

Moore said the cheapest Tiger Deck season seats cost $185, and the most expensive are $900 seats at the 50-yard line that require a donation to the school's athletic fund.

"So kinda all over the place ticket-wise, and that doesn't include premium as well, right? You can get a suite for a ton of money," Moore said.

"Overall, some sections went up more and some sections went up less," Moore said."Tiger Deck, which is our third level on the east side, actually went down. We used to have free concessions up there, and you go up and get a hot dog or water or anything for free for service reasons. We decided to end that, and we actually lowered those ticket prices because of that, so we were taking something away. We felt that we needed to lower the ticket prices for that."

Memorial Stadium seats more than 62,000 fans, with the north end zone under construction for upgrades that are expected to launch for the 2026 season.

Moore says season ticket holders make up more than half of the stadium seating.

"We actually sold more season tickets than we did in 2024, just north of 40,000, that's including students and general fans," Moore said.

The Mizzou Tigers have gained momentum over the past few seasons, winning the Music City Bowl last year and the Cotton Bowl in 2023, bringing fans back to Memorial Stadium to watch the Tigers in action.

As momentum continues, Moore says a game of catch-up is behind the increase after 12 years.

"We really needed to get back on par with the rest of the SEC and make that revenue number we were lagging a little behind in season ticket prices, but also in revenue for the athletic department," Moore said.

Moore said this year's season ticket sales are a few hundred more than last year's.

To determine the number of season tickets that can be sold, Moore says it comes down to demand and math.

"How many single games do we want? How many tickets are visiting teams taking? What do our group sales look like for different games? It's just a mathematics formula that our ticket office runs with," he said.

"We brought the visiting team allotment, we sold some we kept for a single-game basis last year, so we actually had more available this year," Moore said. "We were able to work the numbers and sell more tickets than we sold last year."

The concession stands at Memorial Stadium will offer new food items this year:

  • BBQ Bacon Wrapped Conch Sausage Dog --$11.99
  • Boulevard Beer Brat, Cheeseburger, and Cheese Fries -- $11.99
  • Una Vida Loaded Nachos -- $13.99
  • Souvenir strawberry lemonade -- $8.99
  • Souvenir popcorn bucker -- $10.99

Fan-friendly pricing also returns this year, including $2.99 hot dogs, water and sodas.

According to the Mizzou Athletics Instagram page, fan-friendly pricing will be located behind sections 103, 108, 120, 124 and the Tiger Deck.

High Noons, Nutrls, Quirks and Boulevard Wheat Beer will also be available in 16-oz. cans.

Tiger Team store locations were also expanded to speed up purchases, with new spots inside the Memorial Stadium concourse, inside Mizzou Arena, and outside Memorial Stadium.
