Mizzou football tackles day one of ‘execution week’ at fall camp
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
As the Mizzou football team enters the back half of fall camp, the focus is execution.
Head coach Eli Drinkwitz and company took to the gridiron for practice No. 12 of preseason work. You can find extended highlights from that practice in the video player below.
Following Saturday's closed scrimmage, Coach Drinkwitz announced that the quarterback competition will continue into week three of fall camp, as he said both Sam Horn and Beau Pribula are playing 'really good' football, at the moment.
Another position group to watch, headed into the final stretch of practices, is the offensive line. The Tigers will do some shuffling within that unit, as Coach Eli is still looking to find the best three guys to join veterans Cayden Green (left guard) and Connor Tollison (center) up front.
Media members were able to see a glimpse of some of the changes that Drinkwitz mentioned, during Monday's viewing window. When the first team offense took the field, the offensive line featured Green at left tackle, Michigan transfer Dominick Giudice at left guard, Tollison remaining at center, Curtis Peagler at right guard and Keegan Troost at right tackle.
With the season opener just a little more than two weeks away, it's beginning to be crunch time for making decisions on starters. However, Coach Drinkwitz has made it clear that, specifically with the quarterback competition, he will carry into the first game, if needed.
Up next - Mizzou will hit the field for practice No. 13 of fall camp on Tuesday morning.
