Mizzou royalty compete at Bowers vs. Carroll Alumni Game for charity

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Some of Mizzou's greatest talent have returned home to help raise money for three great causes.

MU legends participated in the third edition of the Bowers vs. Carroll Alumni Game at Mizzou Arena on Saturday afternoon, which benefitted United Community Builders, the E3 Sports Foundation and the Carroll Family Foundation.

"It's always a very joyful moment, not just because we're able to put on such a great event, but just having all the guys and their families come back. When we were here, we were all young men, and now, we're returning as dads, husbands, entrepreneurs, but at the end of the day, Mizzou is what created the foundation for us all," former Mizzou men's basketball player Laurence Bowers said. "It's about the impact, the seed that we can sow into these three organizations that's doing great work for children, so it's always a win-win situation. Mizzou won today. The community won today, and all of us alums, we won today, as well."
