The preseason college football AP Top 25 was released Monday and Mizzou was placed among the best teams in the nation.

The Tigers fell just short of the top 10, coming in at No. 11.

The poll is packed with SEC teams, meaning the experts predict a tough season in the conference. But Mizzou showed last year that it could hang with the big boys, making one of the major college bowl games and defeating Ohio State.
