Mizzou football releases injury report ahead of clash with Georgia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou football team released its week nine injury report for the Top-15 clash against Georgia in Athens on Saturday afternoon.

Notably, both cornerback Ennis Rakestraw and running back Cody Schrader were listed as probable to play against the Bulldogs. Head coach Eli Drinkwitz said in his weekly press conference, on Tuesday, that both guys had a good bye week and came back healthier, as each of them had been dealing with nagging injuries in previous weeks.

Linebacker Chad Bailey is the only player that is listed as out, however, fellow linebacker Ty'ron Hopper will carry a questionable tag into Saturday's game. Hopper leads in MU in total tackles in 2023 and ranks third in tackles for loss.

The full Mizzou injury report is listed below:

  • Probable: defensive back Tre'Vez Johnson, cornerback Ennis Rakestraw, running back Cody Schrader and defensive lineman Kristian Williams
  • Questionable: linebacker Ty'Ron Hopper
  • Out: linebacker Chad Bailey

It'll be a battle of two College Football Playoff ranked teams at Sanford Stadium, on Saturday. Mizzou came in at No. 12 in the first CFP ranking of the season. Georgia is listed as No. 2, behind No. 1 Ohio State.

The Tigers and the Bulldogs will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT in Athens on Saturday, Nov. 4.
