Gates adds third four-star commit to 2024 class

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou men's basketball coach Dennis Gates now has three four-star commits to his 2024 class. On Friday, 7-foot center Peyton Marshall announced his commitment to MU.

The big man chose Mizzou over other offers from Ole Miss, Auburn, Georgia and more.

Marshall is originally from St. Louis, but moved to Georgia when he was around 10 years old. He is ranked No. 83 in the 2024 class.

"Coach Gates and Coach CY are two coaches that I trust with my career," Marshall said during his commitment announcement. "The way they play now is a similar style offense to the next level in the NBA, which is where I'm trying to get to."

Marshall joins other 2024 commits in four-star guards Marcus Allen and T.O. Barrett. Mizzou now has the nation's sixth best class for 2024.
