Mizzou baseball downs Kansas in Border Showdown

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou and Kansas baseball rivalry returned to Kauffman Stadium Wednesday night and the Tigers managed to extend their win streak to six with a 8-3 victory.

Logan Lunceford had a career night on the mound pitching six scoreless innings and recording nine strikeouts.

At the plate, Hank Zeisler led MU going two-for-five with five total RBI's. Justin Colon also brought in two runs while Luke Mann brought in one of his own.

With the win, the Tigers are now 17-3 on the year and remain 3-0 in SEC play after last weekend's series sweep over No. 2 Tennessee.

Up next, the Tigers hit the road this weekend to take on South Carolina. The three-game series starts Friday at 6 p.m.
