BALTIMORE, Md. (KMIZ)

The Royals are leaving Orioles Park at Camden Yards with a loud win.

Kansas City (19-16) slugged a franchise-record seven home runs against Baltimore (13-20) to secure an 11-6 victory in Sunday's series finale. With the win, the Royals posted their fourth straight series win.

Manager Matt Quatraro's team entered this contest with an MLB-worst 18 homers through 34 games this season but scored eight of its runs via the long ball on Sunday afternoon.

Maikel Garcia led the offensive surge with a pair of solo shots, marking his third and fourth home runs of the year. Jonathan India (1), Bobby Witt Jr. (4), Vinnie Pasquantino (6), Luke Maile (1) and Michael Massey (1) also contributed to the team's record-breaking performance at the plate, belting one home run each.

Both teams combined to match an MLB record by hitting 10 solo shots in a single game. The Orioles finished the game with four home runs, including a multi-homer effort from Jackson Holliday.

Up next - The Royals return to Kauffman Stadium for a seven-game homestand, beginning with four consecutive contests against the White Sox. Kansas City's series opener with Chicago is scheduled for Monday, May 5 at 6:40 p.m.
