Chiefs hold on to defeat Jets 23-20, earn third straight win

The Kansas City Chiefs survived a late comeback against the New York Jets to secure a 23-20 win. The Chiefs have now won three consecutive games since losing their Week 1 matchup with the Detroit Lions.
Kansas City scored 17 unanswered points to start the game, courtesy of a 37-yard field goal by Harrison Butker, a 48-yard touchdown run by Isiah Pacheco, and a 34-yard touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to Noah Gray.
However, the Jets outscored the Chiefs 20-6 the rest of the game but were unable to take the lead.
Mahomes finished the game with 203 passing yards and one touchdown. However, he did throw two interceptions and only completed 60 percent of his passes.
Pacheco had a strong performance both catching and running the football. He recorded 115 rushing yards and one touchdown while also adding three catches for 43 receiving yards.
Up next - Kansas City will travel to Minnesota to face the Vikings on Oct. 8. That game is scheduled to begin at 3:25 p.m.
