Chiefs win big over 49ers in Super Bowl LIV rematch
SAN FRANCISCO, Ca. (KMIZ)
The Kansas City Chiefs got back in the win column Sunday with a 44-23 road win against the San Francisco 49ers.
This is the first time that the two teams have met since Super Bowl LIV when the Chiefs won 31-20.
The Chiefs were down 10-0 early, but a dominate second half secured the win. Patrick Mahomes finished the day 25-of-34 for 423 yards and three touchdowns. He also had an interception.
Isiah Pacheco got the start today and led the rushing game with eight carries for 43 yards.
The receiving was led by Juju Smith-Schuster with seven catches for 124 yards and a touchdown. Mecole Hardman had 60 yards combined with three total touchdowns.
On the defense, Juan Thornhill led the way with nine tackles and a pick. Frank Clark had a sack for a safety, Chris Jones recorded two sacks and Joshua Williams had an interception.
Up next - Kansas City has a bye before returning to Arrowhead to take on the Titans on Sunday Night Football on Nov. 6.
