Missouri Valley announces Mike DeMilia as head baseball coach
MARSHALL, Mo. (KMIZ)
Blair Oaks High School's longtime head baseball coach is returning to the collegiate level.
Mike DeMilia, who has served as the head coach of the Falcons for nine years (2017-2025), is taking the reins of Missouri Valley College's baseball program, per a press release from the school's athletics department.
DeMilia built a championship culture within Blair Oaks Baseball over a seven-season span. He guided the Falcons to two state titles, three state championship appearances, four district crowns, six winning seasons and a 153-97 overall record during his tenure.
“Mike has a great track record, and he’s a very hard worker,” Vice President of Athletics Marsha Lashley said in a press release. “His energy and his respect for the game and doing things the right way will serve our students well.”
Before leading the Falcons to great heights, the Nebraska native previously coached at the collegiate level. DeMilia served as the head coach of Lincoln University (2014-16) for two seasons and an assistant at Truman State University (2012-14).
"I’m thrilled to have this opportunity,” DeMilia said in Friday's press release. “There is so much happening at Missouri Valley; they’re really on the move. It’s an honor to join the team.”
Blair Oaks will begin the search for its next head baseball coach ahead of the 2025-26 school year.
