Mid-Missouri wrestlers make their way to the State Wrestling Semifinals

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Day three of State Wrestling at Mizzou Arena consists of Class 3 boys, Class 2 girls and Class 4 boys competing in quarterfinals.

The Class 3 boys that are headed to Saturday's semifinals including two wrestlers from Helias and one from Jefferson City.

  • 126 weight class: Helias' Carter Prenger
  • 150 weight class: Jefferson City's Joseph Kuster
  • 175 weight class: Helias' Logan Montoya

Two local girls have made their way into the Class 2 semifinals including one wrestler from Camdenton and one from Capital City.

  • 100 weight class: Camdenton's Abigail Fugslang
  • 140 weight class: Capital City's Jacinda Espinosa

The Class 3 boys semifinals will have representation from all three Columbia Public Schools as wrestlers from Rock Bridge, Hickman and Battle all won their quarterfinal bouts.

  • 113 weight class: Hickman's Hank Benter
  • 150 weight class: Rock Bridge's Carter McAllister
  • 190 weight class: Battle's Austen Wetzel

The final day of State Wrestling will be Saturday at Mizzou Arena.
