Prayer vigil held for Rock Bridge student following ATV crash

Vigil held for Rock Bridge Freshman Davis Taylor, following an ATV crash.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Hundreds gathered on top of a MU Health Care parking garage to show support for Rock Bridge freshman Davis Taylor on Sunday.

According to Rock Bridge's Baseball Twitter account, Taylor is currently in the ICU following an ATV crash early Saturday morning. The crash ejected five people, sending multiple to the hospital.

Taylor's classmate, Reid Messer is also in the hospital awaiting surgery according to social media.

Friends, coaches and pastors all spoke at the vigil about the outpour of support for the Davis family; many praying for his full and quick recovery.

"Everyone loves this kid Davis," Taylor's classmate Drew Musick said. "It's just great to see everyone come out here."

Jake Musick, was amazed after seeing Saturday's vigil. "I was blown away by how many people showed up, like hundreds I was really amazed," Musick said. "I think it's going to mean a lot to him and his family and he's going to keep fighting for us."
