Mizzou football ends the 2024 season ranked in final polls

For the second-straight season, the Mizzou football team has ended the season as a Top-25 team in the final polls of the year.
On Tuesday, the Associated Press, the US LBM Coaches and the College Football Playoff poll all put head coach Eli Drinkwitz and company amongst its group of top teams in the nation to end 2024.
The Tigers came in at No. 22 in the AP, while checking in at No. 20 and No. 19 spots in the Coaches and College Football Playoff polls, respectively.
It is the 20th time in program history that Mizzou has ended the year as one of the Top-25 teams in the nation, including seven times over the last 20 seasons. It is also MU's second-consecutive appearance in the final College Football Playoff rankings of the year.
The Tigers finished the year 10-3 overall, with a Music City Bowl championship in hand. Mizzou also kept a perfect mark at home for the just the 15th time in program history. Coach Drinkwitz also had his team ranked Top-20 in the nation in 14 different statistical categories to end the year, including first down defense, third down conversion percentages, time of possession, red zone offense, total defense, passes intercepted and turnovers lost.
Up next - Mizzou will prep for the start of the 2025 campaign. The Tigers open up the year with a home game against Central Arkansas on Saturday, Aug. 30.
