Mizzou offensive lineman declares for NFL Draft
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou offensive lineman Armand Membou, a key piece in the trenches for head coach Eli Drinkwitz, announced that he will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft, on Friday.
Membou made the announcement on social media. He said, "we've had some good times, haven't we? As I look back, I am filled with gratitude and appreciation for these last three years as a Missouri Tiger. When I first stepped on campus, I knew this place was special...To Tiger Nation - from gold outs to sellouts to snow outs, thank you. This kid from Lee's Summit felt your support from day one and hopefully I've made you proud. Please keep believing in and supporting the program. Fans are a big part as to why we play."
The junior started in 30 games for the Tigers over the course of three seasons, including every game of the 2023 and 2024 campaigns. In his final year in Columbia, he was rated as one of the best offensive linemen in the country, allowing just one sack and playing primarily at right tackle.
The Lee's Summit-native also played quite a bit of right tackle in 2023, when his unit finished with a semifinalist designation for the prestigious Joe Moore Award, which is given to the best offensive line in the country.
Membou came to Columbia as a four-star recruit out of high school, ranking as the No. 7 overall prospect in the state of Missouri and the No. 15 interior offensive lineman in the country. Before coming to campus, he helped lead Lee's Summit North to an 11-2 record and a Missouri Class 6 State Semifinal berth.
With Membou's departure, Coach Drinkwitz now has three starting positions to fill on his line, as both linemen Cam'Ron Johnson and Marcus Bryant are graduating, as well. On a positive note: starting center Connor Tollison, who saw his season end early with a leg injury, has already announced that he will be coming back for his final year of eligibility.
