Columbia College WBB punches ticket to AMC Championship game

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia College women's basketball team will look to win its program's seventh AMC title, after a 64-42 win over William Baptist on Saturday night.

Columbia College was dominant on the boards. The Cougars out-rebounded the Eagles 68-18. Tipton alum DeLaney Horstman led the attack with a team-high 11 rebounds on the night. Tipton alum Abby Backes and Peyton Crowe were right behind her with eight each.

Three Cougars hit double-digit scoring in Saturday's win. Backes finished with 10 points and then both Mallory Shetley and Allison Stiers finished with 11 points apiece.
