NORMAN, Okla. (KMIZ)

Former Mizzou wide receiver L'Damian Washington announced that he will be serving as an offensive analyst for the Oklahoma Sooners, beginning in the 2022 season.

The MU alum put together quite a career in the black and gold, finishing with 100 receptions for 1,735 yards and 15 touchdowns. Washington spent some time in the NFL after his playing days at Mizzou came to a close. The 30-year-old also played for the XFL's St. Louis BattleHawks for a brief time.

More recently, Washington served as the director of player development for the Tigers under head coach Eli Drinkwitz. He also spent one season as the wide receivers coach at Southern, along with being a coaching fellow for the Kansas City Chiefs before taking the job in Norman.
