Mizzou dominates in first NCAA Regional match up

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou softball team fired on all cylinders in a 8-0 win over the University of Illinois at Chicago on Friday night.

The game started about five hours after its original time due to the rain, however, it didn't seem to bother the Tigers. The bat lit up early on against the Flames.

Brooke Wilmes hit a lead off, monstrous home run to put Mizzou up 1-0 over UIC. After that, three other Tigers drove in runs in the eight run victory.

Jordan Weber pitched a complete game shutout with seven strikeouts and just on hit allowed.

Up next - Mizzou will face Northern Iowa at 1 P.M. on Saturday.
