Timeline of New Mexico St shooting, hazing incidents

The New Mexico State men’s basketball program was shelved midseason after a series of problems tied to the program. There was a fight in October 2022 involving some of the players and students from the rival University of New Mexico. The next month, there was a shooting that left a New Mexico student dead and a New Mexico State player wounded. He has not been charged. Then came allegations of hazing within the program. The season was called off in February and the coach was fired.
