Baltimore Orioles infielder Gunnar Henderson and Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll are among the majors’ most promising rookies heading into the season. The 21-year-old Henderson made his big league debut last summer, batting .259 with four homers and 18 RBIs in 34 games. The 22-year-old Carroll hit 24 homers and swiped 31 bases in the minors last year and then was promoted by Arizona in August and hit .260 in 32 games in the majors. Two Japanese rookies, New York Mets pitcher Kodai Senga and Boston Red Sox outfielder Masataka Yoshida, also are worth watching in 2023.
