WARSAW, Poland (AP) — The head of Poland’s soccer association has posted on Twitter a photo of himself with former Portugal coach Fernando Santos. The move comes a day before a news conference to announce the name of the new Poland coach. Cezary Kulesza’s tweet said “See you at the news conference tomorrow.” Kulesza is to make the announcement Tuesday at Warsaw’s National Stadium. An online video appeared to show the 68-year-old Santos leaving the VIP line at Warsaw airport. Poland didn’t extend the contract of Czeslaw Michniewicz after reaching the last 16 at the 2022 World Cup. Santos led Portugal to its first international trophy at the 2016 European Championship. Another former Portugal manager, Paulo Bento, had been linked with the job.
