Perfectionist Pegula breezing through Australian Open so far

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Jessica Pegula, Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff are all breezing through the Australian Open so far. The matchups could get tougher in Week 2. Pegula has dropped zero sets and just 11 games total along the way to reaching the fourth round at Melbourne Park. The No. 3-seeded Pegula is a self-described perfectionist and so she gave herself a bit of a hard time about what happened late in the second set of her 6-0, 6-2 victory over Marta Kostyuk in the second round. Now she takes on 2021 French Open champion Barbora Krejcikova. Swiatek faces reigning Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina and 18-year-old American Gauff meets 2017 French Open champ Jelena Ostapenko.
