Carolina Hurricanes put Max Pacioretty on injured reserve
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The Carolina Hurricanes have placed winger Max Pacioretty on injured reserve after he suffered a non-contact injury late in Thursday’s win against Minnesota. Placing a player on IR means Pacioretty will be out a minimum of seven days. It also allows the team to add a replacement to its roster. Pacioretty went down as he tried to change directions with the puck and grabbed at the back of his right leg. He had to be helped to the locker room. He had recently made his debut after having offseason surgery for a torn Achilles tendon.
