Roman leaving Ravens, who face big offseason

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — Baltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta says the team will start negotiating again with star quarterback Lamar Jackson. The GM expressed optimism in reaching a deal. Jackson’s rookie contract expires now. DeCosta and coach John Harbaugh met with reporters for a news conference to wrap up the season. Shortly before then, offensive coordinator Greg Roman’s agency announced he was stepping away to pursue other opportunities. DeCosta said he and Jackson spent some time together Thursday, and he says he has a great relationship with the star quarterback.
