EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Daniel Jones’ future with the New York Giants was murky heading into this season with plenty of critics wondering if he could truly ever be a franchise-type quarterback. Jones heard it all and some was warranted. The Giants not exercising the fifth-year option on his rookie deal last offseason spoke volumes. But he has silenced most of the naysayers with a solid season and a history-making postseason debut while leading the Giants to their first playoff win in 11 years. Jones and the Giants are preparing for their divisional round playoff matchup Saturday night with the NFC East-rival Philadelphia Eagles.
