Surprising Clemson hoops on top with best ACC start

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Clemson coach Brad Brownell and the unranked Tigers are off to their best Atlantic Coast Conference start in their history. Clemson is the league’s only undefeated team in ACC play at 6-0 after getting picked to finish 11th in the conference this preseason. Brownell said his players have steadily improved this season and believe in the team’s style of play. The Tigers get their biggest league test when they play No. 24 Duke on Saturday. Win or lose, Brownell said there’s a lot of basketball left for the Tigers to reach their goals.
