Kilde wins World Cup super-G, edges home Swiss racers

WENGEN, Switzerland (AP) — Aleksander Aamodt Kilde spoiled a Swiss party by winning a World Cup super-G on the country’s storied Lauberhorn mountain. The Norwegian blew kisses to the noisy local fans in the finish area after edging home racers Stefan Rogentin and Marco Odermatt. Kilde also held his arms out wide as if asking for the crowd to forgive him. Rogentin was 0.27 seconds behind Kilde and Odermatt was 0.66 seconds behind. Odermatt still had a big lead over Kilde in the overall standings and a small lead in the super-G discipline standings. The result was unofficial with lower-ranked racers yet to start.
