Air Force is the first team to win the national rushing title three straight seasons since Navy did it four years in a row from 2005-08. Tennessee had the lowest total offense average for a national leader in 20 years. Texas A&M gave up the most yards ever by a pass defense leader. Air Force ran for 327 yards per game. Tennessee’s 525 total yards per game was lowest by a national leader since Boise State in 2002. Texas A&M allowed 156 yards passing per game. That’s the highest average since Kansas State gave up 129 per game in 1989.
