PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh Pirates general manager Ben Cherington says he’d like to add more to a team that’s played .500 ball over the last three seasons. The Pirates have added Carlos Santana, Ji-Man Choi, catcher Austin Hedges, pitcher Vince Velasquez and first baseman/outfielder Connor Joe. Cherington told reporters on Wednesday that his next priority is acquiring another starting pitcher to add to a staff whose 4.66 ERA was 26th in the major leagues last season.
