Patriots face Packers with Hoyer at QB for injured Jones

Patriots QB Mac Jones made a surprise return to practice but was ruled out for the game with an ankle injury. Coach Bill Belichick said Brian Hoyer would get the start if Jones was unavailable. The Packers and Patriots are meeting for the first time since 2018. The Packers won 14-12 at Tampa Bay by holding former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in check.
