Ranked for the first time this season, No. 18 Washington closes out a four-game homestand against Stanford on Saturday. It’s the Pac-12 opener for the Huskies, who have seen their expectations change drastically after last week’s impressive 39-28 win over Michigan State. Washington is now expected to be a contender in the Pac-12 race. Stanford is coming off an early bye week following its Week 2 loss to Southern California. The Cardinal will be shorthanded as leading rusher E.J. Smith is not going to play due to an undisclosed injury. Quarterback Tanner McKee will be a key factor for Stanford’s offense to have success with Smith out.
