A wild summer transfer window is about to close with Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool completing deadline-day signings and other Premier League clubs still active in the market despite England’s top flight already spending more than $2 billion on new players. Brazil winger Antony has joined United from Ajax for $95 million, Liverpool signed Arthur Melo on loan from Juventus and City bolstered its defensive options by bringing in Switzerland center back Manuel Akanji from Borussia Dortmund for $17.5 million. The window shuts at 2200 GMT and by that time Chelsea was likely to have signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona.
