Cali slump: All 3 NHL teams in Golden State are rebuilding

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — The most treacherous stretch of the NHL schedule for many teams has turned into a bit of breather. San Jose, Anaheim and Los Angeles are rebuilding with many of their stars slowed by age or long gone to other places. All three California teams have missed the postseason in back-to-back years. Most of the teams need to replenish their farm systems and see some younger stars step forward.
