Ahead of her senior season, Mizzou women's basketball star Grace Slaughter has been tabbed as a Preseason All-SEC Second Team selection.

The league office released those selections, which were made by the Southeastern Conference's 16 head coaches, on Wednesday morning.

Of course, Slaughter is the headliner of the 2026-27 Tiger roster, returning for her fourth season in Columbia. The Grain Valley native ranked 33rd in the country and sixth in the SEC last season with 18.7 points per game, as she continues to make her way up Mizzou's all-time scoring list.

In her junior season, the guard moved up to No. 12 on that program list, joining the 1,000-point club in a career-high 33 points performance against Northwestern.

Through the 2025-26 campaign, Slaughter also started in all 34 contests for head coach Kellie Harper, leading the team and ranking second in the country with 36.0 minutes per game. Overall, she scored 635 points, which ranked 33rd in the NCAA and sixth in the SEC, making 45.3 percent of her field goals. She also led the Tigers and ranked 13th in the league with 6.8 rebounds per contest.

Slaughter will be back in action for the Tigers when the team opens up the season against Howard on Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Mizzou Arena.
