COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Tolton Catholic baseball standout Will Breitweiser went 'Beyond the Game' with ABC 17 Sports Director Nathalie Jones, as he enters the home stretch of his high school career.

You can find a full transcript of their conversation below, but also be sure to watch Breitweiser's edition of Beyond the Game on ABC 17 News at 6 p.m.

Nathalie Jones: "What's up? We're at Tolton Catholic High School going Beyond the Game with Blazer baseball standout Will Breitweiser. Will - baseball, football, you're a dual sport athlete at Tolton, what sport kind of has the edge there?"

Will Breitweiser: "I'd say baseball, definitely."

Nathalie: "What is it about baseball? What gives that a slight edge?"

Will: "Just feels natural because I've been doing it since I was like three and a half, so it's just, just always been there in my life."

Nathalie: "Well, you were fun to watch on the football field. Is there anything you can take from football and kind of put it into baseball at all?"

Will: "I guess like. Leadership, I'd say because like being a middle linebacker you're like the quarterback of the defense and then that just helps with like communication on the baseball field so like saying where the ball needs to go and all that type of stuff."

Nathalie: "Well, you're kind of a home run machine this year. What's the mindset when you go up to the plate? What are you thinking when you go up to the plate?"

Will: "Honestly, I'm just thinking hit the ball on a line and just get that base hit."

Nathalie: "Yeah, Is there ever a doubt when you do hit a home run, you're like, oh, I know that's gone, right?"

Will: "Yeah, definitely. Like yesterday, the first at-bat, first pitch oppo and I just knew off the feel that it was gone."

Nathalie: "Well, I hear through the grapevine that you have a hidden talent and it's finding four-leaf clovers. I think I've found one four-leaf clover my entire life, but you seem to have skill for it, right?"

Will: "Oh yeah, definitely, yeah, it's like a pregame thing I do, I guess. Like yesterday I found three, the game before I found one and the game before that I found one."

Nathalie: "Is that your secret to like luck, do you think?"

Will: "You could, you could say that, but yeah, I just, just get lucky sometimes, right?"

Nathalie: "Well, you've been at Tolton, we've covered you for years, how do you hope you're, you're remembered here at Tolton for your legacy?

Will: "I just hope I'm seen as just a good player and like a leader."

Nathalie:  "Will, I appreciate you making the time, folks. Thanks for hanging out. You just went beyond the game with Will Breitweiser."
