Kansas City Chiefs trade up to draft Mansoor Delane; land Peter Woods with second 1st round pick

The Chiefs jumped to the sixth overall pick to draft the LSU Cornerback.

After dealing Trent McDuffe to the Los Angeles Rams, Kansas City goes out and bolsters its secondary by adding standout senior Mansoor Delane

In his final season with the Tigers, he recorded 28 solo tackles with two interceptions and 11 pass deflections. Across his career, he had more than 191 tackles, eight interceptions, and four forced fumbles.

The Chiefs then picked defensive tackle Peter Woods from Clemson at the 29th pick. Woods had 84 combined tackles in his three-year college career along with five sacks and two forced fumbles. He was first team all-ACC this past season.

In addition the ninth overall pick, KC also dealt the No. 74 overall pick in the third round, and the No. 148 pick in the fifth in order to move up to six.
