Since the regular-season ended, Mizzou wide receiver room has slowly, but surely empties out due to transfer portal chaos.

On Friday, wide receiver Daniel Blood confirmed on his social media that he is set to be the fourth Tiger wide receiver to throw his name into the transfer portal. He joins the likes of wideouts Marquis Johnson, Joshua Manning and James Madison II.

Blood primarily played as the No. 2 slot receiver for head coach Eli Drinkwitz, catching five passes for 51 yards in 2025. Although he wasn't necessarily the offense's go-to target, he was set to be the most veteran returner in that room.

The Louisiana native appeared in every game for the last two seasons for Mizzou, with his best year coming in 2024, when he grabbed eight catches for 81 yards on an average of about 10 yards per reception.

With Blood's departure, MU's wide receiver corps is now down to true freshman Donovan Olugbode, who already resigned with the team for 2026, and fellow freshmen Shaun Terry II and DeMarion Fowlkes. So, needless to say, Coach Drinkwitz will be looking for an influx of some veteran talent during this transfer portal window.
