Pair of Mizzou standouts tabbed as AP All-Americans

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Two Mizzou football standouts were each named Associated Press All-Americans, on Monday.
Running back Ahmad Hardy and offensive lineman Keagan Trost both earned the coveted honors, just days after both were tabbed as Walter Camp All-Americans honors, on Friday.
Hardy is Mizzou's first AP First Team All-American since running back Cody Schrader earned the same honor in 2023. However, Hardy's selection came as no surprise to anyone who's watched college football in 2025.
As one of three finalists for the Doak Walker Award, given to the nation's top running back, Hardy led the nation in rushing yards per game (130.0) and ranked second in the country in rushing yards (1,560). His 16 rushing scores is No. 4 in the nation, as he finished with 281 more yards than any other back in the conference. In his sophomore campaign, the Mississippi native tallied eight 100-yard games and put up just the sixth 300-yard rushing performance in Southeastern Conference history.
These days, the running back just keeps adding more awards into his trophy case. Hardy's been named the SEC Newcomer of the Year, was a unanimous First Team All-SEC selection by the Associated Press, a First Team All-SEC selection by conference coaches and was also named to On3 and the Walter Camp Football Foundation's All-America lists.
Trost's work on the offense line played a major role in Hardy's success, as well.
The right tackle earned a Third Team All-America selection by the Associated Press, after finishing the 2025 regular-season as the top-graded offensive lineman in college football, according to Pro Football Focus. In total, he allowed just two sacks this season and helped block for the nation's No. 8 rushing attack, as the Tigers averaged 234.1 yards per game on the ground, which led the SEC in the regular-season.
Trost can add his Third Team All-America honors to his list of accolades for his 2025 performance, including a Second Team All-America selection by the Walter Camp Football Foundation, a First Team All-SEC selection by the AP and a First Team All-SEC nod from league coaches.
Up next - Mizzou will look to end the 2025 campaign on a high note. The Tigers will face the Virginia Cavaliers in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl on Dec. 27. Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. CT on KMIZ.
