MU's 97 points is the highest point total the team has seen all season, as a pair of Tigers got into the 20-points club. Guard Grace Slaughter led the scoring charge 25 points along with nine rebounds, while forward Jordana Reisma was right behind her with 22 of her own, along with 15 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.

However, Harper's group had a pretty balanced scoring attacked against the Red Wolves. A total of five Tigers posted double-digits in the scoring column. In addition to Slaughter and Reisma, guard Abbey Schreake (14), guard Jayla Smith (13) and guard Shannon Dowell (10) joined the double-digits club.

Arkansas State kept things pretty close in the first quarter, however, the momentum swung in Mizzou's direction with a steal fro mSmith resulting in a Slaughter finish at the rim. The Tigers ended up closing out that opening quarter with a 17-14 lead and only turned up the heat after that.

In the second quarter, MU went on a 15-0 run, which would eventually lead to a 42-25 lead at the break.

After halftime, Reisma scored eight of her 22 point in the third quarter, alone, as Mizzou continued to build up its lead. In fact, Harper's team scored 33 points in that third quarter, which is the most points score in a single period for the team since Nov. 2021.

In the fourth quarter, Mizzou kept their foot on the gas on their way to a season-high in points.

Up next - Mizzou will travel to T-Mobile Center in Kansas City for a rivalry showdown with Kansas on Saturday. Tip off is slated for 6 p.m.
