Blair Oaks baseball finds its new leader

WARDSVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Blair Oaks baseball team will be under new leadership in the 2025-26 school year, as the athletic department announced the hiring of head coach Chris Ebright, on Wednesday.
The move comes after longtime Falcon head coach Mike DeMilia took a new position as the head coach at Missouri Valley College. DeMilia had been at the helm of the program for nine seasons and guided the Falcons to two state titles, three state championship appearances, four district crowns and six winning seasons.
Ebright won't have to move far for his new position, as he's coming to Wardsville from his most recent stint as an assistant coach at Lincoln University, where he helped restart the baseball program.
“I’m truly honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve as the next head baseball coach at Blair Oaks High School. I want to extend my sincere thanks to the administration for their trust and confidence in welcoming me into an already successful athletic program. I’m excited to get to work alongside the student-athletes and staff as we continue to build on the proud tradition of Falcons baseball," Ebright said in a press release.
The new leader of Blair Oaks baseball will bring quite a bit of coaching experience with him. Ebright has spent 10 years as an assistant coach, making stops Helias Catholic High School, Saginaw Valley State University, Kentucky Wesleyan College, Central Methodist University and Erie Community College.
He also has spent seven years as a head coach. Ebright led Saginaw Valley State University for four years, the Roswell Invaders for one year and the Newark Pilots for a couple of seasons.
The Falcons will come into a new season off of district championship-winning year, as Coach Ebright will look to build on the mountain of success that Blair Oaks has achieved over the past few years.
