COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

In year four under head coach Dennis Gates, Mizzou men's basketball will face a gauntlet of a Southeastern Conference slate, as the team looks to follow up a 22-win season, which featured a first round appearance as the No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The SEC had one of the most dominant runs by a conference in NCAA history last season, as league teams won a record-breaking 88.9 percent of their regular-season non-conference games. The conference also set an NCAA record with 14 of the league's 16 teams making the Tournament. Seven of those programs advanced to the Sweet 16, while an NCAA record-tying four SEC program advanced to the Elite Eight.

In total, MU's 18-game SEC schedule features 16 games against teams that qualified for the 2025 NCAA Tournament, including all nine teams that make the trip to the Mizzou Arena this season. Overall, Mizzou is slated to face three teams in a home-and-home series, while hosting six of the remaining schools and traveling to face the other six.

Coach Gates and company will open up the conference slate with a home matchup against Florida at the beginning of January. That game will be followed up by a two-game road swing, visiting both Kentucky and Ole Miss.

Mizzou will host Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Texas, Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Arkansas in the upcoming season. You can find a full look at the 2025-26 SEC schedule below.
