Mizzou football lands second commitment in as many days

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Class of 2026 continues to grow for Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz, as he made his second addition to the group in as many days, on Tuesday evening.
The total number of pledges in a class that's now ranked No. 62 in the nation by On3 is up to six, with the addition of four-star offensive lineman Khalief Canty Jr. The Detroit-native picked the Tigers over offers from his hometown school of Michigan State, as well as Pittsburgh.
Canty Jr. is the first offensive lineman to commit to the class, but marks the fifth offensive talent that Coach Drink has brought on in 2026. You can find a full look at the class below.
- Offensive lineman Khalief Canty Jr.
- Quarterback Gavin Sidwar
- Wide receiver Jabari Brady
- Tight end Isaac Jensen
- Running back Maxwell Warner
- Linebacker Keenan Harris
According to 247Sports, the 6-foot-5, 305-pound lineman is the No. 8 recruit in all of Michigan and the No. 34 interior lineman in the nation.
Canty Jr. is coming off of a historic junior campaign, where he played a big role in leading Class Technical to the program's first state championship in eight years.
