Mizzou guard becomes seventh Tiger to enter the transfer portal
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Seven Tiger women's basketball players from the 2024-25 roster have thrown their names into the transfer portal.
On Monday, a team spokesperson confirmed with ABC 17 that guard Nyah Wilson threw her name into the portal, after one season in Columbia. She joins guards Ashton Judd, Tilda Sjokvist, Londyn Oliphant and De'Myla Brown, as well as forward Hilke Feldrappe and center Lucija Milkovic in players to have entered since the conclusion of the season.
Wilson will be looking to play in her fifth season college basketball, after spending two years at Syracuse, one year at New Mexico and a season in Columbia. However, it is a bit unclear if Wilson has any eligibility left to use, after she went through senior day with MU.
Through the 2024-25 campaign, the 5-foot-8 guard averaged 4.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 18.2 minutes per game. She made appearances in 31 games for MU, 15 of which she earned a starting nod in.
The group of seven former Tigers made the decision to enter the transfer portal, following the departure of former head coach Robin Pingeton at the conclusion of the last season. After Coach P left Columbia, Mizzou Athletics brought former Tennessee head coach Kellie Harper on board to lead the program. In her short time at the helm, she's already made some key additions out of the portal. You can find a full, updated, look at the MU roster, as of April 21, below.
