Eli Drinkwitz lands commitment from four-star quarterback

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou footballs 2026 recruiting class now features a four-star passer.

On Friday afternoon, four-star quarterback Gavin Sidwar became the third commitment in head coach Eli Drinkwitz's 2026 class. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound QB chose MU over offers from Ole Miss, Syracuse and Pittsburgh.

During his junior season, Sidwar threw for 2,747 yards and 31 touchdowns and just six interceptions. According to On3, the Pennsylvania native is the No. 16 quarterback prospect in the entire country.

Mizzou is stacking up quarterbacks from Pennsylvania, as both QBs Beau Pribula and Matt Zollers both hail from the state.

Sidwar will join four-star defensive lineman Anthony Kennedy and three-star safety D'Montae Tims in Mizzou's 2026 recruiting class, which ranks 36th in the nation and 13th in the Southeastern Conference, according to On3.
