COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

With one more day until the spring transfer portal window officially opens up for football, Mizzou now has six players who have decided to throw their name in, three of which are defensive ends.

On Tuesday, Tiger edge rusher Eddie Kelly Jr. is set to enter his name into the transfer portal, after one season in Columbia, a team spokesperson confirmed with ABC 17.

Kelly Jr. will be looking for his third program, where he will play in his fourth season of college football. In his brief stint in Columbia, the Florida-native put up solid numbers for head coach Eli Drinkwitz. Through the 2024 campaign, he totaled 20 tackles and tallied one sack, 4.5 tackles for loss and two passes defended.

Coming into the 2025 campaign, the Tiger coaching staff has talked about just how much depth is in the defensive end room, with returners Zion Young and Darris Smith, transfers Damon Wilson and Langden Kitchen, among others. Needless to say, playing time will be at a premium, which may factor into some of these transfer portal decisions.

Kelly Jr. isn't the first Mizzou defensive end to hit the portal. A team spokesperson confirmed with ABC 17 that Troy, Missouri native Jahkai Lang threw his name, as well. Additionally, defensive end Joe Moore entered his name into the portal, on Monday, but the team said he has no eligibility left.

You can find a look at all six players who have entered the transfer portal below.
