Mizzou football kicks off spring camp in preparation for the 2025 campaign
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Two spring practices are already in the books for the Mizzou football team.
On Saturday, the Tigers held their second practice of spring camp inside the Stephens Indoor Practice Facility, with family and friends in attendance. In the past, head coach Eli Drinkwitz has hammered home that spring ball is more about individual growth than anything else. The coaching staff isn't focused on installing anything for the 2025 season, but more so on the development of each player, individually.
You can watch extended highlights of practice No. 2 in the video player below.
Mizzou opened up the first 20 minutes of practice to the media, on Saturday, as well. It was the first time anyone got take a look at the group of transfers that Coach Drinkwitz brought in during the offseason.
You can watch the full press conferences with Drinkwitz, as well as safety Daylan Carnell and wide receiver Joshua Manning in the video players below.
Penn State transfer quarterback Beau Pribula, wide receiver Kevin Coleman and other members of MU's Top-3 2025 transfer portal class all participated in practice at the Stephen's Indoor. Since they are new members of the team, those players will still need to earn their numbers.
The Tigers will look for some new leaders to step forward, as well, with the graduation of veterans like quarterback Brady Cook, wide receiver Theo Wease Jr., defensive end Johnny Walker Jr. and others.
Up next - spring camp will continue for the Tigers, as Coach Drinkwitz and company will hold another four practices next week.
